The trip to Uganda takes us to different parts of this fascinating country and allows us to encounter an incredible number of different animal species.
From lions, elephants and bee-eaters to chimpanzees and mighty gorillas... This round trip has everything for animal lovers!
We spend the first two days in Murchison Falls National Park, where we experience the Nile from a new perspective alongside many animals.
In Kibale National Park, we have the rare opportunity to see chimpanzees in their natural environment. We also have the chance to see various species of monkeys and birds and take a river tour here too.
After two days in Queen Elizabeth Park with elephants, lions, buffalo and antelopes, the highlight of this trip awaits us in
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park: The encounter with the mountain gorillas. Encountering these giants is an exciting and fascinating experience that you will never forget.
We spend the remaining 4 days in the Lake Mburo region. In addition to elephants and lions, we also have the chance to spot the largest antelope species, the giant eland, as well as zebras, which can only be found in Uganda here and in Kidepo National Park. Back in Entebbe, we review the week before heading to the airport.Of course, we stay in different places on our round trip. However, we have chosen beautiful, comfortable lodges and accommodation in all places.
We use air-conditioned passenger vans for transportation. -
The round trip in Uganda allows us to observe and photograph an indescribable variety of species. In the national parks of Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo, we have a good chance of seeing elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, various species of antelope, hippos, crocodiles, hyenas and rare animals such as rhinos, shoebills and leopards!
In the Bwindi Impenetrable and Kibale National Parks, we focus on the primates: Mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. But of course we also have the opportunity to encounter other species in these forests. For example, giant turacos or forest elephants.
-
As we are on a round trip here, we change our accommodation every 2-3 days. We have selected great accommodation for the trip that conveys the safari feeling. These include Twinga Safari Lodge in Murchison Falls NP, Turaco Treetops in Kibale NP and Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge.
We also eat most of our meals directly in the lodges, where we find great buffets and menus.

As we are on a round trip here, no two days are the same!
As is usual on safaris, our days start early in the morning to allow for the best sightings when many animals are active.
We often have the opportunity to rest a little during the hot lunch time as well as enjoying a delicious meal. In the afternoon we then go stalking again before ending the day with dinner! -
The days in Uganda are often hot and humid. As usual on safaris, we recommend light, long clothing to provide good protection from the sun and mosquitoes. We also recommend good footwear.
The air cools down a little in the evening, but mosquito protection remains essential. For photographers on this trip, we recommend medium and long range lenses to cover the various distances to the animals. Small lenses can also be useful with the gorillas, as we can get very close to the animals!
